The Lawrence Jumper - or ‘Gansey’ jumper in 'kelder' blue - takes its name from Nottinghamshire writer, D.H. Lawrence. Born just over the hill from the Stanley Biggs Studio in the old mining town of Eastwood, Lawrence would spend many of his formative years exploring the local countryside, with many of the locations acting as inspiration for the settings in his novels.

Ganseys (or ‘Guernseys’, from which they take their name) are steeped in maritime history, and proved invaluable clothing for sailors and fishermen, being both incredibly warm and quick-drying.

Our ganseys have dropped shoulders and a traditional square stand-up collar.
