These sugar bowl and sugar spoon designed by Kazuyo Komoda convey the intimate passion oriental people have for the small things of everyday life.

 

Kazuyo Lomoda was born in Tokyo and studied at the Musashino University of Art. She started her career in industrial and interior design in Tokyo. In 1989, she moved to Milan continued to work by collaborating with Denis Santachiara. She now her own studio in Milan. Her activities include design, with a focus on colors and materials. She takes part in events and exhibitions both in Europe and in the Far East. She works for Acerbis International, Driade, Dornbracht, Elica, Ferrero, i 4 Mariani, Matteograssi, Pandora Design and Yamaha motor. Her designs gained several publications for outstanding international magazines such as Domus, Abitare, Interni, Casa Vogue, DDN, Domina, Modo, Ambiente, Casamica, MD, Nikkei Architecture, Nikkei Design, Wind, Brutus, Blue Print, Disegno Interior, Ardi, Brain, Dom i Diuro (an international design year book) and Esquire.
