Colored Porcelain Tree Ornament Inspired by a Sunrise on the Sound at Pensacola

Solid Colored Porcelain, Lightweight Handmade Christmas Tree Ornament with Hook 
 
Colors inspired by the sunrise over the sound at Fort Pickens National Seashore Campground in Pensacola Beach, FL.  
 
I mix my colored porcelain by hand, then I create blends of these colors and roll them into a thin slab to be impressed with random snowflake textures before cutting ornament shapes from the slab. Once bisque fired, cobalt oxide wash is painted onto each snowflake before applying my hand-mixed clear glaze in preparation for the final glaze firing.
