"During the first days of the invasion, we slept on bare ground with a little strewn on the floor. It was difficult to drink water - it froze in the bottle, and lighting fires was prohibited. We were waiting for the enemy tanks and understood that this was a one-way trip"

This is our first attempt into a text-based book.

The book is written by a soldier of the Ukrainian Army, who volunteerly joined the forces at the dawn of the russian invasion in late February 2022. The manuscript takes you into a year long jorney experienced by the author - army routine, trench fighting, FPV-drones and many more.

"Artillery is scary, but then you get used to it and don’t sleep well without it. The speed of sound propagation is 343 m/s - you see a flash, count until the sound reaches, multiply the time by the value, get the distance, determine the azimuth using the compass, transmit the coordinates, send the UAV into the square and - here it is, a BM-21 "Grad" is burning with a beautiful black pillar that can be seen from 20 kilometers away"
