Each fastener is supplied with a fully threaded, large head self-drilling screw which has a pointed tip to create its own pilot hole in the joist, the threaded screw eliminates the need for pre-drilled holes and effortlessly bores into the joist while tapping and fastening at the same time.

The large head offers greater resistance to penetration into the joist, and the weatherproof stainless steel screw has a black zinc coating that coordinates with the fastener and provides additional durability.
