On the journey of our lives, we come to many crossroads. We are presented with many different choices. Inevitably, sometimes, we will make the wrong choice. We may be distracted by an infatuation or perhaps we just didn't do the research that we should have. We make mistakes.
 
Forgive yourself. Remember that you are the hero of your story. You may have made a poor choice.
You may have regrets, but that is the classic arc of the hero's journey. They make mistakes. They fail. They mull over their regrets.
 
Forgive yourself and move forward. You learned lessons and can apply them as you continue your journey.
 
Also, advice to avoid those people that guide you toward poor choices. Once you spot the toxicity or foolishness in those people, it's time to ease them out of your life and make better, smarter choices.
