INTERTWINED - Cotton braided scarf - Naturally Dyed, Moss Green | Charlie Darwin
top of page

The INTERTWINED scarf is a one-of-a-kind, wearable art piece that was hand-dyed with onion skins and iron. The soft but rich texture of this scarf is what truly sets it apart-- the ends are cut, braided, and knotted, almost as if they are long locks of cotton hair. You'll find that the light-medium weight of this double-layer bubble gauze cotton is perfect for year-round wear.

Plant-dyed

This scarf was dyed by hand using onion skins and iron to achieve a soft light mossy green color. It is made from the earth and after a lifetime of wear and tear, it will be 100% biodegradable.

Size: 74" long x 18" wide.

The Fabric: 100% Cotton, double gauze, medium weight.

I use double gauze cotton because of the rich texture it provides, enhancing dimension from every angle. Cotton helps control moisture, insulate, and provide ultra-soft comfort. This scarf has a "raw edge", meaning that it has not been turned under, which gives it a more lightweight earthy flow. The edges may fray little tiny bits over time but don't worry, the tight weave won't let it come unraveled.

Care Instructions:

Handwash with cold water, and then hang dry. For long-lasting color, wash sparingly, with a neutral pH detergent and avoid high heat or drying in direct sunlight.
