EMERGE Lakeland is partnering with United Way of Central Florida’s Community Partnership School initiative, with the Community Partnership School in Polk County being Crystal Lake Elementary.

Like last year, we will be doing a campus beautification project, as well as collecting shoes for the children in need. Crystal Lake Elementary is predominately a walking school and they have a program where they are able to provide shoes to children in need throughout the year. We have a goal to donate 50 pairs of shoes for girls and boys (kids’ sizes 1-9; not toddler sizes). Once we complete our project, we will take some time to connect over lunch provided by Mission BBQ.

This event will not only benefit the children at the school; it will invest in the community. Participants will receive a tour of the facilities, hear about the programs they offer the children and the community, and learn about how to be more involved. We believe every soul makes a difference!
