About the event
The Black August Block Party is back for 2023! This year's theme is UNITY, and we are excited to continue celebrating Black excellence and empowerment in our community.
Join us on Saturday, August 26, for a day full of music, food, art, and culture. The event will be held at City Hall in Oakland, and it is open to everyone.
We will be unveiling a limited edition hoodie featuring the 'The Arc of Liberation' mural from 2021, and we will also have t-shirts available for purchase. These items are sure to become collectors' items, so make sure to get yours before they sell out!
Leading up to the event, we will be hosting several fundraising campaigns to support the Black August Block Party and the programs and services provided by BOSS. You can also follow us on social media for updates and information on the event.
