Join us for our 2nd annual workshop at Camp Chestnut Ridge June 2-4, 2023.

EVENT DETAILS:

By registering you agree to follow COVID guideline. If necessary be prepared to provide proof of a negative test result 72 hours prior to check-in.  We will follow our host's site policies,  and any state and federal COVID guidelines. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Check in:

Check in at Noon on 6/2.  Should you arrive early please enjoy a hike, or some relaxation time by the pond.

This all-inclusive workshop includes food, lodging, instruction, use of tree climbing gear, ceu's and more.   You will learn how how to climb trees while emphasizing the art and science of Arboriculture.  This safe, empowering experience will renew your spirit, allow you to bond with others curious and excited to learn more about trees, aloft!  Most importantly, you will leave with new friends and a network of professional colleagues.

Travel:

If you need a ride from the airport - please research car share programs (Uber, Lyft, etc.). A group email will be sent in May for event reminders and to connect your classmates contact information.  Consider coordinating ride sharing options to reduce your carbon footprint.

Lodging:

Camp Chestnut Ridge offers bunk style lodging with 3-4 people per room.  Bring your own bedding (sleeping bag & pillow). The camp provides indoor beds, washrooms and showers.   Please bring your own toiletries (towel and personal hygiene items).

The Camp does not offer single room accomodations. Should you desire private sleeping, the Camp has granted our group onsight camping to anyone wishing to bring a tent.  Some tent platforms are available.

Food:

Meals and snacks are included in your registration costs!  Friday: Dinner, Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Sunday: Breakfast and Lunch.  If you have food allergies, please list specifically.  Our host will do their best to fulfill your request.

Tree Climbing Gear:

If you have your own tree climbing gear and wish to use it at the event, please bring it with your gear inspection documentation.  Gear inspection and sign off is required before on sight use.

Clothing:

Dress for all weather!  For climbing- long pants, long sleeves, over the ankle hiking boots.  Bring rain & warm jackets, a swim suit, sunscreen and bug spray.

Water Bottle & MORE...

Please bring your own water bottle. We will have a water cooler in the field for your refills.  Consider bringing your snack container to bring snacks out to the field or up in a tree. Your yoga mat & blocks want to join the fun!  We do have some to share if you do not own (first come, first serve). 

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Registration is limited to 20.   If you cannot attend, for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. If we can fill your position from the "Waitlist" your registration will be refunded 100% if you notify us by April 10, 2023.  Less $100 4/11-4/14,  After April 14th, no refunds will be granted.
