About the Event

If you are interested in participating in the Urban Transit Furniture Design Competition and want to learn more about the project, we recommend that you attend some of these online Workshops.

These workshops are a great opportunity for you to learn more about the project, meet the planning team, and have your questions answered.  All of these workshops will be available as a video recording on the project website after each event.

About the Workshop WORKSHOP #1 - PROJECT SCOPE + COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVE

At this workshop, participants will:

  • Meet the project planning team & understand the scope of the project

Meet members of the Glen Park Neighborhood to understand some of the issues at play in Glen Park and beyond.

Understand the reasons behind the lack of seating in the Glen Park neighborhood and how "Urban Furniture" and "Tactical Urbanism" is helping

Understand important design principles of Design Justice such as Hostile Architecture and ADA accessibility and what role it plays in the transit rider experience.

Have their questions answered by members of the project planning team
