NOTICE ABOUT THIS MORNING'S HIKE: Due to limited staff, we will not have enough guides available to lead the Guided Hike at Indian Steps this morning. However, we will have someone on site at the previously scheduled start time with trail maps, and will be available for questions or guidance.

Centred Outdoors will host a free and guided event here on September 17th. For self-guided explorations, the trail is open to the public throughout the year. Join an informative guided hike at Indian Steps on Sunday, September 17th at 11:00 AM.
Beginning at the Indian Steps trailhead on Harry's Valley Road, this 4-mile hike starts with a difficult ascent over steep, rocky steps. Ascending Tussey Mountain to the ridgeline, we turn left on the Mid State Trail and continue our loop onto Pump Station trail, and back to our starting point. Expect rugged Pennsylvania terrain and a slow climb, followed by an easier walk and early autumn views along the ridge. This 4-mile loop returns you to Harry's Valley Road via the Pump Station Trail.
- Outing length: 3.99 mi (Ascent: 765 ft.)
- Difficulty: Difficult

- bug spray, and/or long pants, sleeves, hats or bug nets for insect and tick protection

- a light snack to enjoy during or after your hike
