About the Event

Music Therapy is a growing profession, and Kimberley looks forward to the new projects ahead, continuing to promote music therapy and developing the music therapy practice so that people can access Music Therapy. In 2021, Kimberley was presented with one of the New Zealander of year, Local Hero Awards, for her work in Canterbury. Both for establishing her own private practice offering music therapy sessions for people with disabilities as well as co-founding the Cantabrainers Choir.

Join founder & Director of Southern Music Therapy & co-founder of Cantabrainers Choir, Kimberley Wade in this intimate 2 hour event as she presents the two papers and poster that she presented at the 17th World Congress in Canada in July, mixing her spotlight speech “The Future of Music Therapy in Healthcare” as well as discussing her paper “Developing a Private Practice at the bottom of the world” along with a  snippet of co-founding the Cantabrainers Choir.

Doors open at 4pm.

Kimberley presenting from 4.30pm.

Networking time with nibbles & refreshments included.

We are also fundraising for our Community Instrument Packs, please feel free to give cash donations on the night.

This event is open to everyone, please RSVP by Monday the 18th of September.

We have 2 more events in September, check them out!
