About the Event

Join us for a Community Conversation - How to talk to your kids about race, diversity, and inclusion - with guest panelists Tyrone C. Black, the Associate Head of School at Tabor Academy, and Kate Excellent, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

The Tri-Town community has continuously come together during the past three years to engage in meaningful events to address concerns about racism, and inequality, and to create a more inclusive and supportive region.  This was showcased when community members came together to support the re-opening of TTAR’s Little Free Diverse Library after the vandalism suffered at the end of 2021. During the re-opening ceremony, TTAR leadership was able to engage in such meaningful conversation with community members that we felt compelled to rename our community outreach and engagement events, formerly referred to as “Town Halls,” to Community Conversations.

This series allows the TTAR leadership team to host local conversations with experts about how we can collectively do better. Tri-Town Against Racism invites community members to attend our March Community Conversations and participate in a Q&A session with a panel of experts on how to talk to your children about race, diversity, and inclusion.

Registrants are encouraged to submit their questions ahead of time in the RSVP registration form.
