It’s that time of year again – time for the Georgian Picnic! With an afternoon filled with charming Rococo and Regency costume, delicious food, fun period games, and lively conversation, it’s easy to see why this has become one of our most popular events! Bring your favorite picnic foods, or if you’re feeling adventurous, try your hand at an 18th Century recipe! All attempts and interpretations of 18th Century costume are welcome, from exacting recreations to dastardly pirates!
LOCATION CHANGE:
Our picnic will be held at Veteran's Park in Arlington. If the weather is good, we'll meet at the Bandshell. We'll be decorating it to add to the ambience. If it's rainy, we'll meet at the covered pavilion.
This location has two parking areas. One is near the monuments and is closest to the pavilion, restrooms, and playground. The other is near the Molly Hollar Wildscape, and provides a paved route directly to the Bandshell.

What to Bring:
Feel free to bring your own chairs, tables, table decor, blankets, lawn games, and picnic lunch, and friends!
We're hoping to up our game this year with a decorated space for a more immersive experience. Check out our Pinterest board for inspiration!
We'll have tables set up for any potluck items you're willing to share with the group. Decor/ambience items would be also welcome. This is completely optional. If you'd like to participate, please check out our signup list!

There are a few suitable patterns in the Halloween section of the "big 3" pattern makers that you can buy in any fabric store, but some of the better patterns are only sold online.
