About the event
The panel takes a positive and inspiring approach to unpack (white, thin, able) privileges by talking about body acceptance.
Participants will analyze how "western beauty standards obscure the ability to see the real beauty in ourselves." (Mohammed, 2022) Participants will observe conversations with body-positive influencers who are fighting to change the standard. Participants will consider how what we feel about ourselves and our own bodies correlates with our acceptance of others, and construct new ideas that promote respect for all bodies (BLM, ableism, thin privilege, and more).
