Linda is very excited to bring some of her favorite quilts to share with you at the Art Center of Montross. She has been quilting for over 30 years and has learned so much from members of her guild, Quilters Unlimited, and from the many teachers that have been brought in for special classes.

Her beginning quilts were more traditional, but she picked up the “art bug” and added many more inventive techniques. She has won prizes in national quilt shows and has created quilts for quilt authors and for other quilters who have issued challenges that they have turned into books.

Linda is known for many painting techniques that she employs in making the quilts “hers”.  She will also have many examples where she has used ombre fabrics (both commercial and painted) in unique ways.

Perhaps her most innovative technique has been using fishing lure swivels to make 2-sided Kinetic quilts where elements rotate to each side of the quilt.
