First Initial Consultation

Service Description

Our First Initial Consultation (FIC) is a comprehensive evaluation process designed to identify the areas of concern that parents have about their child's development. The consultation will be conducted via Zoom call, and typically lasts between 30 minutes to 1 hour. During this call, our team of experienced therapists will work closely with parents to gather information about the child's abilities, challenges and overall development. Before the call, parents will receive an email from the therapist with instructions on how to prepare for the call. This email will include a basic bio registration form, case history form, and other instructions. During the Zoom call, the therapist will conduct a thorough assessment of the child's abilities and difficulties, and will also review any previous evaluation or diagnosis the child may have had. The therapist will also provide an opportunity for the parents to share their observations, concerns, and questions about their child's development. After the call, the therapist may provide the parents with an activity or a set of exercises to complete with their child, in order to gather additional information that will help the therapist better understand the child's abilities and challenges. This will help the therapist to develop an individualized treatment plan for the child. Our first initial consultation is an important step in understanding your child's development and addressing any concerns you may have. It is designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of your child's abilities and challenges, and to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your child's therapy.
