Service Description

In this course, learners will understand: ..Why due diligence and capacity assessments are important for managing donor funding and project delivery? ..How to conduct a capacity assessment and fairly allocate a risk scoring? ..What is best practice within the areas of governance, staff capacity, financial management, project management, financial viability, risk management and audit? ..How to address capacity gaps? Learning will be guided through presentations of key principles and problem solving scenarios to engage adult learners to utilise their varying expertise via discussions, reflection and presenting ideas which allows for continuous application of the learning material to real life experiences. Upon completion of the first 2 sessions, learners will have an assignment to work in a small group to complete a capacity assessment using an assessment tool, supporting guidance and coaching from trainer. Feedback of each group assessment will be presented to the rest of the group by nominated group presenters. The final session will guide learners on key principles for setting action plans to address capacity gaps and strengthen internal organisational structures to reduce risk and achieve greater sustainability.
