Service Description

The purpose of the Red Cross Basic Life Support program is to ensure that healthcare providers have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child, and infant patients. A Blended Learning (BL) Class gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills. The online portion can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. The in-person session is typically 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Participants will receive a training link in an email after they booked a class. Participants must have online portion completed before coming into scheduled in-person session. Certificate is valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class is completed via e-mail .
